About this event
Patriotic 4th of July decorated boat parade; Organized by Duffy Fleet Commander Mary Carol Taylor join the fun as we celebrate America's 250th. All boats, big and small, sail and poser, paddle and steam powered and of course DUFFIES are welcome. Open to members and non-members.
Kick off your Fourth of July weekend with a floating celebration of red, white, and blue! Whether you’ve got a yacht, a skiff, a sailboat, a kayak, a paddleboard, or anything that floats — ALL boats are welcome! Power, sail, electric, or paddled — deck it out, fly your flags, use your imagination, and show your American spirit!
The parade forms up at 2:00 PM on the eastern branch of Carters Creek near Custom Yacht Service. Then follow the lead boat down the creek past Rappahannock River Yacht Club and on toward the Tides Inn.
No registration. No entry fee. Just show up, show your spirit, and have some fun!
And don’t head home after the parade — because the party keeps rolling with Band on the Barge! Sponsored by Rappahannock River Yacht Club and H&G Marine, the Crain Brothers Band will rock Carters Creek from 5:30 to 8:30 PM from a barge anchored near the RRYC docks.
