SUMMER CAMPS 2026

RRYC will again run our highly successful summer camps in 2026.   The sailing camps are a great opportunity to introduce young people to the delights of sailing.  Our programs are designed to be fun, to provide instruction and safe on-the-water opportunities for your child so that they can learn, gain confidence and sail.

This year we intend to run four programs.  Please contact RRYCJunior@gmail.com asap if you wish to have a youngster participate.  Places are available for children of non-members and scholarships will be available.

Dates TBC

Participants are grouped by age, experience and skill level.  We accept participants from ages 7 through to 16.  Throughout each program we have a primary focus on safety.  Participants will learn the fundamentals of safety on the water, learn how to rig a sail boat and the fundamentals of boat handling.    Our young sailors initially learn to sail in an Opti and then progress to a Sunfish. Depending on prior experience participants may get to sail the club 420’s.  The programs are run from the RRYC clubhouse and utilize the club facilities for classroom and pool activity with sailing in Carters Creek.

Fees:$TBC

How to book:

Please download and complete the Junior Sailing Event Booking Form, Sailing Camp Rules and Liability Waiver.  To reserve your place these can be emailed to RRYCjunior@gmail.com .

Prior to commencement of the camp we must receive all payments, completed and signed hardcopy of all three forms, the Junior Sailing Event Booking Form, the Sailing Camp Rules and the Liability Waiver.
